Think Before You Buy

Think carefully before purchasing a Bulldog puppy. Research this breed to make sure it is the best breed for you. Familiarize yourself with the health issues that may affect a Bulldog. They are very loving and loyal pets that should be considered a member of your family. Think about your lifestyle and consider all the time it takes to train, groom, exercise and love this new addition to your family.
Look for good breeders that will allow you to see the puppies and the parents. Look for well fed, happy, playful, alert, and healthy puppies being raised in a clean environment. Your breeder just completed the foundation for your puppy’s life. Good Bulldog breeders work around the clock raising their puppies. The Dam is not always the best mother and she has to be supervised when she is with her babies.
Please remember that old saying; you get what you pay for. Bulldog puppies may seem expensive but when you are selecting this new member of your family, a sound investment will pay off in the long run. Do not bargain hunt, you may regret it later. Research, pre-pregnancy testing, artificial insemination, ultrasound, c-section, licensed veterinary care, puppy shots, worming and a whole lot of love is given by your breeder to produce a quality Bulldog puppy.
Do your homework, research the breed; invest wisely in a well-bred Bulldog. Love, respect, train, praise, groom, play with, feed quality food, house indoors keeping cool in summer and warm in winter, keep them away from water since they cannot swim, use licensed veterinary care including yearly check-ups, shots, heartworm and flea prevention, and your new investment will pay you back over and over again with love, companionship, devotion, and slobbery kisses for the rest of their lives. Buyers beware…one Bulldog is usually not enough.
